Privacy Policy – Scholarships and Educational Loans

The NextStep IT Association collects and processes personal data in connection with applications for scholarships and educational loans solely for the purpose of evaluating and administering such applications.

Types of Personal Data Processed

The personal data processed may include, in particular:

  • Personal identification details
  • Contact information
  • Educational background and training information
  • Financial information
  • Uploaded documents (such as résumés/CVs, educational certificates, and budget plans)

Purpose of Data Processing

Personal data is used exclusively for:

  • Assessing scholarship or educational loan applications
  • Internal decision-making processes
  • Communicating with applicants

Legal Basis

Data processing is based on the applicant’s voluntary consent and, where applicable, for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.

Data Retention

Personal data is retained for the duration of the application review and funding process, as well as in accordance with applicable legal retention requirements.
Applications that are not approved will be deleted no later than 24 months after the decision has been made.

Disclosure of Data

Personal data will not be shared with third parties, except where required by law or where processing is carried out by contracted technical service providers (for example, hosting providers).

Rights of Data Subjects

Applicants have the right to:

  • Access their personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of their data
  • Request restriction of data processing

This Privacy Policy is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
